This study evaluates dGEMRIC in patients with preradiographic degenerative cartilage changes. dGEMRIC, or delayed gadolinium-enhanced MRI of cartilageis a technique that can be used quantitatively to assess glycosaminoglycan content of cartilage or qualitatively to asses the overall structures of cartilage. T1-weighted images and dGEMRIC T (1) maps were acquired at 1.5 T on coronal planes, including the anterior-superior, superior, posterior-superior hip cartilage.
